I'm Nina, the teacher behind Planit Educate.

I started this growing collection of resources because when I was working full time, I struggled to find lesson resources that actually suited what my class needed. There were plenty that were close to what I wanted, but nothing that stood out or made me genuinely excited to teach, which is how I wanted to feel.

Students' attention spans aren't what they used to be, so having resources that look good and are also clear and well scaffolded makes a real difference. It helps create lessons that are fun for the kids and for the teacher running them. There's nothing worse than walking into a lesson feeling frazzled, and nothing better than walking in feeling calm and prepared. That's the energy our kids deserve.

To make Planit Educate possible, I've moved from full-time classroom teaching to an (almost) full-time relief teaching role at an amazing kura in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. Relief teaching gives me time outside school hours to create resources, then test them with different classes and age groups. I'm loving this project so far.
